Kouzehgar told the Mehr News Agency that it was unacceptable for Pezeshkian to claim that the inefficiency of his ministry was due to tight budgets.
He said the Majlis had always tried to approve the bills that ministries submit for an increased budget, intimating that Pezeshkian had taken no measure in that connection.
"If the health minister really believed that an expanded budget was necessary for effectively implementing his programs, he should have told this to the Majlis at the time that the deputies approved him two years ago, and not now," he said.
